Sean M. Stevens is an award winning and internationally published photographer who recently moved to San Antonio, Texas.. He grew up on the ocean in Nova Scotia, Canada and lived there until marrying his wife of 4 years.
Before becoming a photographer, Sean had a
seagoing career in the 1980's as a Bosun in the Navy where he was awarded

He also spent many months
living aboard Cuban, Russian, and Japanese factory-freezer trawlers as an
International Fisheries In 1996, one of Sean's fire scene photos was awarded the Canadian Press Photo of the Month Award, making it one of the twelve best Photos of the Year. Sean became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in 1997, and later a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Since then he has worked as a Network Engineer/Administrator for medium-sized businesses, as well as running his own training and consulting business, and currently manages a Service Desk for an multinational IT Outsourcing company. Once he moved to Pueblo West, Colorado, many of his photographs appeared on the front page of the Pueblo West View, a local weekly newspaper. But the war in Iraq required his wife, Shelley, an Apache Helicopter Mechanic supporting the 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment at the time, to serve overseas. With no ties holding him to Colorado, Sean decided to move his family (son Travis) to their Texas house during the anticipated one year Shelley would be overseas. Happily, Shelley returned safely and now runs her own successful business, DayDream Massage Therapy, also located in San Antonio, TX. Sean is a member of SportsShooter.com, a website devoted to professional sports photographers. And, also a member of the International Organization of Fire Photography and International Fire Photographers Association. You can find more samples of his work at Photosig.com and AmericanPhotojournalist.com. He carries a USA 'Green Card' and a Canadian Passport, which allows him to work freely in either country, and wherever a Canadian passport is warmly welcomed (i.e., Cuba).
