This is where it gets a little tricky so pay close attention. Once you've clicked on 'Blending Options...' from the menu the 'Layer Styles' window will appear.
12. Click on 'Blending Options: Default' to make sure
it's highlighted.
13. Click on the Pull-Down menu next to 'Blend Mode:'
14. Choose 'Screen' from the Pull-Down menu. Your text
should appear almost invisible now.
DON'T Click 'OK' just yet. We've still got a few choices to make.
15. Click the checkbox next to 'Bevel and Emboss'.
Then click the 'OK' button
HINT: Before clicking OK experiment with the other check boxes. 'Drop
Shadow' and 'Bevel and Emboss' are my favorites.
Repeat the steps for each line of text you wish to add. To review:
1. Set foreground color to 50% gray (this should already be
done if you are adding more text)
2. Type some Text
3. Right click on the Layer, choose 'Blending Options', pick 'Screen' as
the Blend Mode
4. Bevel and Emboss your text then click 'OK'
5. Save your Work!
Now just save your work in the format that you wish (.jpg, tiff, etc) and Congratulations! You've just succeeded in completing a very sophisticated looking effect in Photoshop! You'll be an expert in no time at all!
